I wouldn't let anyone play unless they realized who's in charge. (not them) We had a problem like that and let the boy sit out for a few months to figure it out. God did send another to fill his position. Now he is soo humble, and glad just to be a part!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6577509576656808835.post-5623276180638492902012-03-27T13:38:46.229+01:002012-03-27T13:38:46.229+01:002 1/2 years later and people are still stumbling a...2 1/2 years later and people are still stumbling across this blog. Worship is rehearsal, singing, playing, fellowship, etc. But when you get down to it, It's all about God. Thanks again. I will be sure to utilize this list for our worship rehearsals.Rudynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6577509576656808835.post-2501370510998071642011-05-20T20:06:41.627+01:002011-05-20T20:06:41.627+01:00Wonderful advice! It took you time to do this I am sure and I want you to know that you are impacting God's Kingdom by doing this. I been in the Worship leading ministry for years as a volunteer in my church and recently I've been asked to take on a part-time position. I am aware for the fact that it comes with a lot of responsibilities. You've given me more information than I need to start with. I will continue to chew on this as I grow in this position. May the Lord continue to inspire you as you devote yourself in building up others for the advancement of His Kingdom.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6577509576656808835.post-68977211030780051162010-08-03T03:14:33.265+01:002010-08-03T03:14:33.265+01:00Thank you for all your information, all good. Right now we have a pretty good group however here is a teenage girl that thinks she doesn't need to follow the leader. She is pretty good on the guitar and sings very well, but doesn't listen. We, I don't want to discourage her but I'm not sure how to get her to be a team player. Any suggestions?Nancynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6577509576656808835.post-2653148198082268672010-07-02T23:07:07.585+01:002010-07-02T23:07:07.585+01:00Thank you so much I am a worship leader at my chur...Thank you so much I am a worship leader at my church and I've been struggling with finding the worship music to match the season of the church. I believe this information you've shared is the answer to my (our) problem I plan to implement this structured practice as soon as possible. Thank You so much may God continue to bless and strengthen you in Jesus name!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6577509576656808835.post-68992068543201904502009-11-04T15:59:02.620+00:002009-11-04T15:59:02.620+00:00I know what you're saying, A1, but notice that...I know what you're saying, A1, but notice that Patrick is working EVERY other day of the week...and if he is like most of us, he probably works at home as much as he works at the "office." I admire his determination to take that Friday off, even though I'm sure things often arise that must be taken care of on his "day off" as well. In the ministry there's no such thing as a day off. Just like there's no such thing as part-time. I've been doing this for 16 years and only 3 of those years in paid staff "part-time" position, so I do understand - to a certain extent- both sides of the coin and where you are coming from. Surely everything is different in each church and for each worship director, so I'm certain we will all have to modify this outline in some fashion to make it work for our own particular situation.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6577509576656808835.post-71214729604404366792009-11-04T02:25:37.289+00:002009-11-04T02:25:37.289+00:00Very helpfull suggestionsVery helpfull suggestionsBillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01292726070332647406noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6577509576656808835.post-18628461536053612862009-11-02T15:38:43.394+00:002009-11-02T15:38:43.394+00:00This is good stuff for sure and I really appreciat...This is good stuff for sure and I really appreciate Patrick sharing his organizational skills, however, Patrick seems to have one element that most of us don't have, TIME. Golf on Friday's? Many, if not most, have a full-time job and families with all the responsibilities that go with it. Balance is key, oh to find balance in life. I will try to condense Patrick's outline down to a few hours a week.a1gmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01858605957610985780noreply@blogger.com
