The lyrics are easy to understand, simple to sing (apart from the "With a mighty hand" part which takes some practice!) and also easily remembered.

Playing 'Give Thanks To The Lord Our God And King' on a guitar is quite easy too. I tend to play it in 'G' as it's easier to sing but I believe it's written in 'A' which is also manageable. You don't need the sheet music either as the timing is simple to pick up and remember.
